About Coffee Break®
What is Coffee Break®?
Coffee Break® is the Alzheimer Society's nationwide annual fundraiser where people gather in communities across Canada to raise funds for local Alzheimer Societies. It's Coffee for a Cause!! Participants at these events make a donation in exchange for a cup of coffee. Proceeds raised for the Alzheimer Society of Simcoe County stay in Simcoe County to help support local programs and services.
Where does an Alzheimer Coffee Break® take place?
Coffee for a Cause will be coming to a retailer or restaurant near you. Stay tuned to learn where you can buy a cup of coffee in support of ASSC. If you would like to host your own coffee event, online or in person while following social distancing protocol you can do that too. You can brew or buy a cup in support of ASSC throughout the month of September.
When does it take place?
Coffee Break® events typically take place in September in honour of World Alzheimer's Day which is on September 21, 2020.
How do I host a Coffee Break®?
It's easy. You can hold a Coffee Break® online or in your office, home, or anywhere you can serve coffee safely. You can also offer tea, juice to increase donations. To get started, contact the Barrie office to register and receive host information or sign up online here.

It’s a fun, easy and rewarding way to bring people together to help raise much needed funds for people in our community impacted by Alzheimer’s disease and other related dementias.
